Demo Dozen & Modeling Systems Self-Taught (MSST)

Demo Dozen: 13 STELLA (® IseeSystems, Inc; Lebanon, NH 03766) simulations on a variety of topics that are designed to illustrate the breadth of topics that can be addressed with such models, the power of such simple models, and the basic logic with which such simulations are constructed.  As of May 2006, we have updated Demo Dozen and added a new simulation so that Demo Dozen is now a “baker’s dozen”. This current Demo Dozen is designed for STELLA 9, but will run quite well with STELLA 8 (or the current iseePlayer); it is designed for display resolutions of 1024 x 768 pixels or greater. Demo Dozen consists of a set of STELLA models and several Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files; they should all be compatible with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems.

Previous versions of Demo Dozen (containing the original 12 models and designed for display resolutions of 800 x 600 pixels or greater) are available for smaller screens or earlier releases of STELLA (6, 7, or 8) and can be acquired from CIESD on request.

The current version of Demo Dozen can be downloaded for free (scroll down for access to that material). Demo Dozen is compressed for speed in downloading; WinZip and Stuffit versions are provided for Windows and Macintosh operating systems, respectively.

More information on the Demo Dozen is available here.

(MSST) Modeling Systems-Self Taught: self-paced tutorial to the skills and approaches needed for building system dynamics models using the STELLA (® IseeSystems, Inc; Lebanon, NH 03766) software. MSST consists of an Introduction, 17 Lessons, and 5 Evaluation Exercises. The current version of MSST is designed for STELLA 9 (the iseePlayer will NOT work for MSST) and for display resolutions of 800 x 600 pixels or greater. MSST consists of a set of STELLA models and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files; they should all be compatible with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems.

Previous versions of MSST are available for earlier releases of STELLA (6, 7, or 8) and can be acquired from CIESD on request.

The Introduction and first 3 Lessons of the current version of MSST can be downloaded for free (scroll down for access to that material). This material is compressed for speed in downloading; WinZip and Stuffit versions are provided for Windows and Macintosh operating systems, respectively.

More information on MSST and on its purchase is available here.
